Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
Forty Whitehall High School Trojans will receive their diplomas on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 2 p.m. The Commencement Exercises will be held on the Whitehall High School football field, with the Varsity Gym reserved in case of inclement weather.
A change in pace from last year’s COVID-19 non-graduation; this year’s ceremonies will not require limited attendance, as the venue is outdoors. Attendees are asked to sit on the bleachers, or stand along the fence line. The school is also asking those who feel the need to mask to please do so in accordance with their own health concerns.
Also a change from previous years, the Whitehall Middle School is longer be providing Promotion Ceremonies for the eighth grade class. Because of this, the Whitehall Chamber has stepped up and is planning, along with several parents, a BBQ for both the graduating seniors, the promoting eighth graders, and their families for Thursday, June 3rd from 5-7 p.m. at the Legion Avenue Park Pavilion.
Students and their families are asked to RSVP to the BBQ for headcount purposes by June 1st to the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce at 287-2260 or whitehallmtchamber@gmail.com.
The BBQ is sponsored by the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce, as well as many local businesses. If you are a business or individual interested in helping sponsor the event, please contact the Whitehall Ledger at 287-5301 or whledger@gmail.com by June 1st.
