Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
Tayla Andrews was born in Canada to ranching parents. Her traveling life began at the age of two when she was whisked away to Kansas where her grandparents lived in order to assist them; also, her father had oil rights in Kansas. After seven years in Kansas, the family moved to Bozeman, mainly so her father could flee from his allergies!
Andrews spent grade school at MT Ellis Elementary outside of Bozeman and took both seventh and eighth grade in one year at the age of twelve and a half, maintaining straight A's. She was promoted to MT Ellis Academy, where she was the shortest kid in school at four foot eleven; her sister on the other hand was the tallest. Her interest in music and science began in her high school years. She was also highly influenced by her mothers pre-med career.
Andrews attempted college three times, but found it wasn't always a perfect fit. She received a scholarship to MSU for piano; here she double majored in pre-med and piano. She found she couldn't satisfy her need for perfection and dropped the scholarship and college for the first time.
Andrews moved with her best friend to Lolo, Montana to deliver newspapers. Here she began to experience strong migraines, which she still has today.
She attempted her second go at college when she and her best friend moved to South Lancaster, Massachusetts. Here she worked in a program for handicapped teenagers; while at the same time she battled her own issues with anorexia. For her own mental health and wellbeing she moved to Texas to admit herself into an anorexia treatment program. However, Montana was always on her mind.
Andrews stayed for eleven years in Texas, where she tried her hand at a third college attempt. While at school, she explored many different jobs, including a Polo club where she exercised the horses. While working at a convenience store she met her husband Joel.
With her love of Montana still strong, Andrews convinced her husband to move to Montana. Here she scored a post office position in Norris, but transferred to Gallatin Gateway shortly after. Her migraines worsened; which lead her to transferring to Whitehall due to a less strenuous schedule. She was excited to spend more time with her two sons as she had been working fifty to sixty hour weeks at the Gallatin Gateway Post Office .
Andrews and her family have lived in Whitehall for six years. She has been happy to find a new best friend, her wonderful Community of Christ Church, and all the wonderful people she meets through the post office. In her free time Andrews works as an EMT; she also sells Mary Kay products on the side.
She and her husband bought the local internet company MTWeb at the beginning of 2020. Tayla loves to help people get things done in the moment and make her friends and customers smile. She loves that Whitehall is a place where one can find good people and there are many people she would love to get to know better. Tayla, her husband, and her two sons are valued members of our community.
