Nancy Sue Norville, 80

On Saturday, January 30, 2021, Nancy Sue Norville (known to everyone as Sue), loving wife and mother of four children, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 80.

Sue was born on March 16, 1940 in Glorieta, NM to the late Calvin "Shorty" Curry and Lena May (Cozart) Curry. She had two sisters, Bonnie and Carol. Her family moved to Pony, MT when she was one, where her Dad worked as a ranch hand. She attended school in Pony through the 8th grade and then moved to Three Forks where she completed High School.

She married Julian W Norville on November 27, 1959 and settled into ranch life at their home in Cardwell. They raised three sons, Tim, Wes and Mike and a daughter, Sally. Not only was Sue a hardworking partner, who worked side by side with her husband Julian on their ranch, she also did an amazing job at managing their home. She enjoyed sewing, baking and gardening. In addition, she drove a school bus for Harrison School for over 20 years.

She was a happy and outgoing person with a wonderful sense of humor. No one was ever a stranger and they often opened their home to people needing a meal or a place to stay. She was a born again believer and attended Cardwell Community Church where she walked to every Sunday. She loved children and taught Sunday School there for many years. She loved music and could play the piano, accordion and taught herself how to play the guitar.

She was preceded in death by her father Shorty and her mother Lena May, brother-in-law Dick Hohn and daughter-in-law Nancy Jo Norville.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Julian, her four children, Tim (his wife Tammie), Wes (his wife Cheralyn), Mike, Sally (her husband Jason), six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, her sisters Bonnie Hohn, Carol Young (her husband Larry) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Due to the current pandemic, a family service was held at the Cardwell Community Church on Saturday, February 6th.
