Trojan Wrestlers Bring Home More Wins Over Weekend Duals

Whitehall Trojan Wrestling had another successful weekend, ending with a 2-1 record. Wrestling started on Friday with a trip to Boulder. The first dual was against Three Forks. With some hard fought, close matches, Whitehall came out on top 42-30. Individual wins were Dane Hoover (pin), Trentin Walker (pin), Dallen Hoover (pin), Kyle Denny (for), Justin Kuehl (for), Jamus DuBois (pin), Leo Scafani (for). Losses for this dual were Isaac Skogen, Michael Reiff, Dawson Powers, Gavin Watson, and Miles Hoerauf.

The second dual was against Boulder. Whitehall scored another victory 49-24. Wins included Wesley Bigger (11-0), Reiff (pin), Kenzy Best (for), Dallen Hoover (for), Kyle Denny (pin), Karson Klapan (for), Kuehl (for), DuBois (for), and Scafani (5-3). Losses against Boulder were Skogen, Dane Hoover, and Nick Denny.

Saturday the team headed to Townsend to take on Huntley Project. After placing 2nd at state last year, Huntley was able to hand the Trojans their first loss of the season, 46-18. Whitehall's wins were Gavin Watson (4-0), Dallen Hoover (9-4), and Miles Hoerauf (pin). Losses for the Trojans included Dane Hoover, Reiff, Powers, Walker, Kyle Denny, Kuehl, DuBois, and Scafani.

The rest of the day was a mix of matches against Townsend, Cascade and Huntley. Wins included Alley Antonsen (7-3 over Huntley), Klapan (pin over Huntley), Hoerauf (12-2 over Cascade), Dane Hoover (pin over Townsend), Reiff (pin over Townsend), Watson (pin over Townsend), Klapan (pin over Cascade), Scafani (pin over Huntley), Walker (7-1 over Huntley), Antonsen (pin over Cascade), Kyle Denny (pin over Huntley), Dallen Hoover (pin over Huntley), Hoerauf (12-2 over Cascade), and Reiff (pin over Cascade). Others to wrestle were Skogen, Dallon Lanes x2, Nick Denny, Best, Kuehl, and DuBois.

Next week the wrestlers make the trip to Lewistown and then Glasgow to take on one of the best class A and class B teams in the state.
