Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
Twila 'Tweety' Joyce Little Roberts passed away Monday, December 9, 2019, in Denver, Colorado from complications due to Parkinson's disease. The 8th of 10 kids born to Tom and Hannah Little, Twila was born in Marysville, Iowa on February 20, 1941, but was a Montanan at heart having lived there most of her life, including over 40 years in Whitehall. Twila did many things in her life; clerk, cook, lumber yard owner, and bus driver. She never knew any strangers, just future friends.
Twila loved the Montana outdoors and not only loved to participate in sports (skiing, hunting, golfing, and bowling), she also loved to watch them. Nobody could be heard more than Twila supporting the kid's at their games. Being a fierce competitor, especially in cards, an unknowing opponent often found themselves on the wrong end of a pinochle or cribbage game.
Twila married Richard "Dick" Roberts on September 10, 1961. They had four children and were blessed with 7 grandchildren. She is survived brother Styrl Little; sisters/brothers-in-law, Illa (Mike) Harvey, Veva (Georg) Becker; sister-in-law Sharon Little; children Richard "Rick" (Susan), Jill Jenkins (Jeff), Tim (Michelle) and Steve; grandchildren, Dr. Sarah Roberts, Captain Matthew Roberts, Breeann Roberts, Michael Roberts, Cameron Roberts, Brandon Roberts, and Jacob Jenkins.
Her husband Dick Roberts passed away on July 28, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her mother Hannah Comstock Little and father Thomas "Tom" Little; sisters Ethel and Thelma; brothers Tommy, Vern, Harold, and Larry.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, Twila would prefer donations to the Parkinson's Association or the Whitehall Booster Club.
