Local residents can learn more about the Holocaust through an upcoming adult education class.
The Whitehall School District and Whitehall Community Library are hosting a four-session Holocaust Literature Class. The class will meet March 5, March 12, March 26 and April 19 at the library.
Whitehall Librarian Jeannie Ferriss said the Holocaust is a tragedy the world will never forget.
"Yet less than half of all Americans can identify Auschwitz and the things which happened there," she said.
The Holocaust Through Literature program is a four-week study of the literature, both fiction and non-fiction, written about personal experiences, histories, fictional accounts, and other genres dealing with the Holocaust.
