Join Johnny Appleseed and his pioneer friends as they plant apple orchards across the West this Saturday, February 22 when the Missoula Children's Theatre and more than 40 Whitehall students present an original musical adaptation of the classic tale, “Johnny Appleseed”.
The performance is scheduled for Saturday, February 22 at 2 p.m. at the Tia Kober Gym. Tickets are free but they will be accepting donations.
Playing the title character of Johnny are local students Cooper Montgomery and Alannah Leonti. Other featured performers include Mikia Julius as Molly, JC Raty as Kelly, Coya Kelly as Sarah, and Jaeden Aragon as Rebecca. Granpa’s Kiddos will be Aurora Koenig, Izzabella Collett, Payton DuBois, Lynsey Rawson, Alannah Scafani, and Ashley Pettelsen and the Pioneers will be Ryan Raty, Aleeyah Senst, Sara Popalis, and Kylee McLaughlin. Sir Peter Prescott is Sydalee Jenkins while Rupert is Tayah Balbach. Lewis and Clark are Trent Price and Lilly Montgomery and the Fife & Drum Soldiers are Gabe Price and Aliyah Rawson. Mikaela Julius, Jeanette Blazevich, Jaxon Popalis, Zane Savage and Marly Rawson will be the animals that Johnny meets along his journey. And finally, the Apple Seeds will be played by Mia Kidwell, Brynn Welch, Michael Raty, James Hunter, Jameson Roman, Lance Popalis, Daisy Jenkins, Ledger Schroeder, Ceili Moriarty, McKinley Ostrander, Jeremiah Smith, Jordan Brian, Navaeh Smith and Sara. Evan Andrews and Paige Armentrout have served as Assistant Directors throughout the week.
