LaDawn Anderson

LaDawn Anderson passed peacefully in her sleep on January 18, 2020 at the Homestead in Rexburg, ID with her husband by her side. LaDawn was born on October 16, 1937 at her Grandma Palmer's home in Preston, ID. She was the second of 9 children born to Gerald Layne and Doris Palmer Layne. She spent her childhood years in Lewiston, Utah. At the age of 15 she moved with her family to Waterloo, Montana. It was here that she met her future husband. LaDawn and Fred Anderson were wed on October 15, 1955 in Whitehall, Montana. Fred and LaDawn made Whitehall their home for 64 years, where they raised 12 children.

LaDawn is survived by her husband of 64 years. Her children Barbara Anderson, Peggy (Bob) McClellan, David Anderson, Susan (Paul) Siddoway, Jeanette (John) Barrick, Nancy (Scott) Johnson, Amy (Bill) Davis, Brenda Anderson, Beverly (Roger) Gout, Gordon (Cami) Anderson, Daniel (Cathy) Anderson, 26 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her infant son Frederick Anderson, her parents Gerald and Doris Layne, brothers Devar, Steve, and John, and her sister Cherie Peterson.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 22nd at the Whitehall LDS Ward at 3:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the services at the Whitehall LDS Ward.
