Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
There will be a new location for the 22nd annual Liberty Place Inc. Festival of Trees.
After many years at the Best Western GranTree Inn, this year's fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, November 22 at the Commons located at 1794 E. Baxter Lane in Bozeman.
Liberty Place Executive Director Ann Geiger is very excited about the change in venues.
"It is a wonderful space and much larger than we have had at the GranTree. We have had many people ask us to find a bigger venue - so now, we need people to attend and help us fill this new space. The sound system there is much better as is the parking. I think people will find it to be a more comfortable space," she said.
This year's event is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. and over two-plus decades has become not only an amazing evening for all those in attendance, but it also serves as the primary fundraiser for the non-profit organization to raise money for programs for brain injury survivors.
Geiger said the fundraiser is hugely important to Liberty Place, as it helps them meet costs throughout the year.
"This helps to fund things like all of our Brain Injury Specific Programs, Music Therapy, Gardening Projects, Outings and Activities for our residents, maintenance on our facilities... the list goes on," Geiger said. "We are thankful for every dollar given and for every person who attends."
Geiger added the clients at Liberty Place are mostly funded through Montana Medicaid, and the expense of running the kind of quality service they do is not covered by what Medicaid pays.
"That is why we raise funds, so we can provide the kind of quality services that move people forward to a better quality of life," she said.
The 2019 Festival of Trees will include dinner and auction of beautifully decorated trees and gift items and a program by Liberty Place residents.
Tickets are $50 per person or $350 for a table of $8. Call 406-533-5102 or 406-287-3154 for tickets.
