The Whitehall High School and Junior High cross country teams shined at last Saturday’s Headwaters Invitational in Three Forks.
Head Coach Kerry Sacry said it was a great day for the Trojans and everyone beat their personal best by a minute.
“A flat course with no wind. Something we have not seen in a while,” he said.
In the boys varsity race, Dane Hoover and Hunter Coyle both had good races for Whitehall. Hoover was tenth with a time of 20:27 and Coyle was 14th finishing the race at 20:48.
In the girls varsity race, Madison Loomis and Katie Whitehurst tied for fourth with a time of 20:50. Macee Patritti finished the race at 23:42.
In the junior high girls race sixth grader Lexi Stratton had an amazing race finishing third with a time of 14:36.
On the boy’s side, sixth grader Noah Scheffel was fifth with a time of 13:09. Levi Whitehurst had a time of 14:48, K.T. Schuller finished at 15:10, and Sam Valov had a time of 15:15.
Whitehall will next compete October 10 at the Helena 7 on 7 meet.
Sacry said they are late in their season and the kids are getting stronger.
“The hard work is paying off,” he said.
