The Gallatin Valley Outlaws are one victory away from the state title game.
Gallatin Valley stayed alive Tuesday at the Montana/Alberta American Legion Championship with a 13-3 victory over Vauxhall (Canada).
The Outlaws will play Bitterroot today at 1 p.m. in Florence with the winner moving on to play Vauxhall in the championship game later in the day.
Gallatin Valley fought off elimination Monday with a 10-0 victory over conference foe Dillon.
The Outlaws opened the tournament Saturday with a hard-fought 6-3 win over Lewiston. Gallatin Valley lost a tough game Sunday 9-7 to the Laurel Dodgers. The Outlaws were trailing 6-1 going into the sixth inning before scoring six runs to tie the game. The Dodgers bounced back with two runs in the bottom of the inning to seal the victory.
