Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
The annual meeting and program of the Jefferson Valley Museum will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the Trinity Methodist Church, 102 North Brooke in Whitehall.
The meeting and program are open to museum members and the general public. There is no charge to attend.
Three board positions, including board president will be voted on at the start of the evening. The program will be provided by an archeologist from GCM Services in Butte about the archeological excavation they conducted in the northern Whitetail area over the past several years. Their study uncovered numerous artifacts dating from the early 1930s and going back thousands of years before European immigrants began to settle in the Jefferson Valley.
The Museum will open for its 24th season on May 25, 2019. Volunteers are needed to help staff the museum office during the summer and conduct tours during the days it is open. People interested in volunteering can call the museum at 287-7813 and leave a message with their contact information or speak with a museum board member during the annual meeting on April 4th.
