With a theme of "Road Trip to Victory", it's once again Homecoming Week at Whitehall High School.
A busy week of activities at the Whitehall Schools include dress up days, spirit competitions, stick horse races, bonfire, outdoor movie, two volleyball games, fashion show, manly man volleyball game, parade and Friday night football and volleyball games.
"It is great to see the students rally to support our fall teams. Over half of our high school students participate in either football, volleyball, cross-country, cheer, or pep band – this week is a celebration of the start of the school year and our fall sports seasons. We appreciate the community's support and hope to see everyone at the parade and games this week," Whitehall High School Principal Hannah Nieskens said.
A packed Friday, September 21 will include voting for royalty, the Manly Man Volleyball game at 8:20, an assembly at 10 a.m., the parade at 1 p.m., Lady Trojans volleyball against Three Forks at 3:30 p.m. and the Whitehall/Harrison High School football game against Three Forks at 7 p.m.
The parade that will make its way down Legion Avenue will be led by the band float, followed by the Kindergarten class on the new activity bus. The floats from the parade will be on display on the track during the football game.
Homecoming royalty will be announced during halftime of the football game.
The class dress up days include "Hollywood" on September 19, "NYC Glamour" on September 20, and "Trojan Country" on Friday, September 21.
The bonfire took place Tuesday and the movie is scheduled tonight at 8 p.m.
Elementary students are taking part in best spirit contest and K-8 students will be taking part in a door-decorating contest.
