The practice season is underway and local fans will soon get a sneak peak at the Whitehall High School football and volleyball teams.
The annual Purple and Gold Scrimmages are scheduled to take place Friday, August 17 with volleyball at 5 p.m. and football at 6 p.m.
The event will be followed by the annual Whitehall High School Booster Club Barbecue at 6 p.m.
Trojans Athletic Director and head football coach Dan Lacey said having the booster club do the barbecue is great for the community as a way to encourage more members to join.
The Whitehall/Harrison High School football team is coming off of two consecutive playoff appearances and will return several key starters including Max Feight, Cade Briggs, Eli Reynolds, Colby Smith, Sawyer Keener and Connor Johnson.
The Lady Trojans volleyball team will be under the direction of new coach Sage Hengst.
