Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
The Library would like to give a big thank you to Deb Niedermeyer for her wonderful QuickBooks workshop last week. The workshop was funded by the Montana Department of Transportation DBE program. Thank you so much Shannon! There was a great turn out and the Library will be planning more programs for the business community, including a series of financial webinars in October.
Do you have a great idea but no way to fund it? Have you ever wanted to write a grant? Are you a member of a nonprofit organization or own your own business? The Library will be offering a free grant writing class on Saturday, August 18, from 9:30 am to 12:30 am. Topics will include: finding the right grant, vocabulary in grant proposals, how to build small grants into larger ones, and more. If you are planning to attend please let the staff know so there will be enough handouts for everyone. Just call 287-3763 to sign up.
The Mystery Book Club will be meeting Tuesday, August 21 at 4:00 p.m. at the Library. If you enjoy mysteries and like to get new ideas for series, authors, and sleuths, this is the book club for you.
It seems that school will be in session just around the corner. To help everyone begin with a healthy start, Bethel Wagner will be presenting a program on "Back to School Nutrition". It will be full of great ideas and information on how to keep children healthy as they transition into the school year. The program is free and open to the public on August 23 at 6:30 pm at the Library.
Registration is now open for Computer Classes in September. The Library will be offering both Beginning and Advanced computer classes this fall. Beginning classes will be on Mondays at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. There will also be an evening Beginners class on Thursdays at 5:15 p.m. The Advanced class will be Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. Class sizes are limited to 5 students so make sure to sign up soon if you would like a specific class time or date.
