The Madison County Fair scheduled for next week in Twin Bridges should provide plenty of fun for area residents.
With the theme of “Red, White and Blue…This Fair is For You!!!” the events will kickoff next week with barrel racing scheduled for Wednesday, August 8 at 6:30 p.m.
Madison County Fair Grounds Manager Dana Escott said preparations for the fair are going really well and she is looking forward to the event.
Escott said it is great to see all the kids having fun with their 4H animals.
“It is like a great big family comes together for the fair,” she said.
The schedule on Thursday, August 9 includes Women’s Calf Bloomering at 4 p.m., Madison County Ranch Rode/Open Stock Saddle Bronc Riding at 5 p.m., and the Madison County Fair Lawn Mower Tractor Pull.
There is a packed schedule on Friday, August 19 with the NRA Slack at 8 a.m., the Madison County Sheriff’s Department Police Dog Demonstration at 3 p.m., a Meet the Artist T-shirt Signing with Michelle Frank at 6 p.m., the Jacobs Livestock NRA Rodeo at 7 p.m. and the Benny Reynolds Wild Cow Milking at 9 p.m. Other events include Play with Gravity Motorcycle Stunt Shows throughout the day, Bounce off the Wallz Entertainment by the river, and The Exit 55 Band playing at 9 p.m. at the Beer Garden Stage.
Saturday, August 11 will kickoff with a Horseshoe Tournament at 8 a.m., Jacobs Livestock Team Roping at 9 a.m., All Girl’s Stock Saddle Bronc Riding, the NRA Riding at 7 p.m., Wild Cow Milking at 8 p.m., as well as the motorcycle stunts shows and Exit 53 at 9 p.m.
The schedule for Sunday, August 12 includes the Parade on Main Street at 10:30 a.m., and Cowboy Church at noon in the Jeffers Building.
