Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
With a little over a month until the 2018 Frontier Day in Whitehall, organizers are looking for volunteers to help out at the popular two-day event.
One of the most needed areas for volunteers is the Rancher's Rodeo, but help with any of the variety of scheduled events would be greatly appreciated.
In a small community like Whitehall, it takes a devoted team to put together an event like Frontier Days. Chamber members and everyone who helps out puts in a large number of hours, but things always run more smoothly with more helping hands. A few hours on Friday or Saturday would be huge. Of course it is all about having a great two days, but those extra few minutes on Friday or Saturday will make a world of difference.
With no Evil Knievel Days scheduled in 2018 and possibly into the future, the Frontier Days event has a great chance to grow in the next couple of years.
Of course there will always be current and former residents who attend, but this could also bring in people from surrounding communities looking for a way to spend an afternoon or evening.
The fact there is not a large festival going on in Butte will be nothing but a boon to increasing attendance numbers at Frontier Days.
The last week in July will be a great weekend for those locally and who travel to town. Thanks to everyone who helps to put together the event.
Anyone interested in volunteering should contact a chamber member, call 287-2260 or email whitehallmtchamber@gmail.com
Todd Benefit
Earlier this month, the community came together to raise money for Erik Todd at a benefit at the Whitehall Community Center.
Everyone who helped organized, donated, volunteered, purchased items or attended the event should be given a huge thank you for showing the truly caring nature of this community.
People may not always get along, but when it comes to helping someone out, Whitehall area residents time and time again help their own. Well done everyone.
