NRA Banquet Later This Month

Those interested in the annual Jefferson Valley Friends of the NRA Banquet should act fast to purchase tickets for the popular annual event.

The banquet will take place Friday, April 20 starting at 6 p.m. at the Whitehall Community Center. Event organizer Patty Howser encouraged residents to get their tickets now because the event has become a huge success and sells out every year.

Dinner tickets are $35 and will feature a prime rib dinner catered by Steve Jenkins of Pepper Tree Deli.

Big Shooter Tickets are $135 and enter purchasers into a drawing to win a gun. Howser said last year they sold a total of 80 Big Shooter Tickets, and gave away eight guns.

Howser added another fun part of the banquet is a pre-event raffle. The prize in 2018 is a Weatherby Vanguard Camilla 7mm-08 Rem with Logo. The raffle tickets are one for $5 or five for $20.

The tickets will not be sold at the banquet.
