Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
In a little under five months, both current and former residents will help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Cardwell School.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 4 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the school, and will also include a dinner later that day at the Cardwell Pavilion.
This event is a wonderful way to bring former students, teachers, staff and anyone affiliated to the school together for what should be an amazing day.
Much like is the case with any small town school, the building in Cardwell means so much to so many people, and Cardwell students have a bond that never goes away.
Event organizers have been working and this includes students under the direction of Patty Hanley building a scaled model of what the town looked like in 1918. (See related article inside this edition).
With all the hard work being done, people should remember to contact anyone that might not know about the event. It will certainly be one of the best days in the history of Cardwell and the bigger the crowd the better. So please help organizers spread the word.
Those thinking of coming should also start looking into finding local accommodations at places like the Rodeway Inn, Borden’s, Cardwell Campground, Lewis and Clark Campground, The Ranch Bed and Breakfast, The Iron Wheel Bed and Breakfast and vacation rentals in the area.
Please help spread the word about this event in Cardwell. It will be a chance to see old friends, make new ones, and take some time to realize just how special the school is to the town and the people who call it or have called it home.
