Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
With the event a little over two months away, organizers of the Black Tie & Blue Jeans fundraiser are seeking help from local residents.
At a meeting last week, BTBJ committee member Kristi Wilson said that while things are progressing nicely for the event scheduled for Saturday, April 28, they are still looking for some bigger auction items.
“We are looking for some big ticket items,” she said. “We need a few big hitters.”
In the past, Wilson said silent auction items will roll in just before the event, but they are really hoping for some help with items for the popular live auction at the biggest fundraising event in the Whitehall area.
Wilson added local resident Gretchen Ressler may be able to secure a live auction package from the Copper King Convention Center and Rib and Chop House Restaurant in Butte and they would be really nice to have.
Wilson said invitations have been mailed out and encouraged those wanting to come to get their RSVP’s back as soon as they can.
With a pre Kentucky Derby theme of “Hats & Horses”, the event will start at 5:30 p.m. at the Whitehall Community Center.
Reservations can be made at the Corner Store and for more information email the chamber at whitehallmtchamber@gmail.com.
