Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
The Whitehall Country Store Board of Directors recently announced the availability of five $5,000 scholarships to be awarded to graduating Whitehall High School seniors or homeschoolers who will be full-time students enrolled in Fall 2018 classes at an accredited college, university, or trade school.
Although the focus of most scholarship programs is academic, the main criteria established by the Board of Directors is a student's deep desire to further their academic goals beyond high school and their need for financial assistance. This new program is intended to broaden the spectrum of eligible students by focusing more on their life goals, which include their desire for a higher education or a trade certification, rather than focusing strictly on their high school academics.
Students are required to complete an application that is available at the high school or the Whitehall Country Store. Applications must be postmarked by February 16 and mailed to: Whitehall Country Store ~ P.O. Box 256 ~ Whitehall, MT 59759.
Recipients will be announced prior to graduation. For more information please contact Joy DesRosier at (406) 287-2133 or Chris Adkins at (406) 498-2686.
