Starting November 1, Legends Bar and Grill in Whitehall will be giving back to the local community.
The business located at 13 W. Legion will be implementing a community outreach program with the first recipient being the Whitehall Volunteer Fire Department. The organization will receive 10 percent of all pizza sales at the restaurant from November 1 to 30.
"Honestly, I believe God put this idea in my mind," Legends owner Tammy Baxter said. "It just popped in my mind while driving back from Butte last week."
Baxter has previously discussed a possible fundraiser with Whitehall Fire Chief Jeremy Ward, and said they chose the department because they are hoping to purchase a new truck.
Legends will choose one recipient each month, and according to Baxter they do not have to be a charitable or non-profit group. It could also include a local family who may need assistance. Applications are available at the restaurant.
"So far we have received a lot of positive feedback on this and have already received one application in for December," she said.
Legends recently updated their pizza menu, and Baxter said the BLT Supreme is her favorite. Other new pizzas include the Cowboy, the Wrangler, and the Blue Cheese & Bacon.
