Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
Despite some rough weather conditions, the Whitehall High School cross country team had some strong individual performances at last week's MHSA State Meet at the Bill Roberts Golf Course in Helena.
Head Coach Kerry Sacry said he was pleased with the entire team, despite it being windy, cold, and a course that features multiple hills.
Leading the way for Whitehall was sophomore Madison Loomis. She placed 45th out of 151 Class B runners with a time of 23:34.34. On the boy's side, senior Ryan Murphy cracked the top 100, finishing 82 with a time of 22:40.90.
"For the conditions, Madison and Ryan ran well. They were hoping for better, but all the times were slow," Sacry said.
The Lady Trojans team also had solid finishes by freshman Macee Patritti (26:10.73), and sophomore Asha Noyes (27:20.12).
Freshman Dawson Powers had another good week for the Trojans finishing with a time of 22:40.90 in the boy's race. Junior Adrian Bright had a time of 23:34.70, and freshman Kenzie Hugulet finished the race at 24:11.70.
