Dennis A. Bird

Dennis A. Bird, age 65, of Whitehall died October 10, 2017 at St. James Healthcare in Butte, Montana.

Dennis was born March 21, 1952 at Great Falls, Montana to Melvin and Verna (Boucher) Bird. He was raised in Butte and graduated from Butte High School in 1971. He entered the US Navy in 1971 and served until 1980. After the service he worked for a short time at the VA hospital in San Diego and then worked as a machinist for General Dynamics NASSCO in San Diego. He retired and returned to Montana in 2009.

Dennis enjoyed fishing, running around in his jeep, guns, the outdoors, and being with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, sisters Karen and Susan Bird, and brother-in-law Charlie Beaudry.

Survivors include his mother, Verna Bird of Whitehall, sister Melinda and Dave Poff of Great Falls, and Judy Beaudry of Butte, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A military graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 18, at 2:00 PM from the Whitehall Cemetery at Whitehall, Montana with Father Elias Kabuk officiating.
