The time is fast approaching! Beginning September 1, the Library will change to our new hours. They are, Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 7 p.m., Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Back by popular demand, we have new magnets coming with the Library hours and phone on them to help everyone remember when the Library is open.
Speaking of open or in this case closing, don’t forget that the Library will be closed for Labor Day on September 4th. We will be open on Saturday during our new hours from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This week is the time to register for all of the new fall programs. Space is limited to five students per class for the computer classes. They will begin on September 5th at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. for the advanced classes and beginning classes will start on Monday, September 11 at 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Please make sure you are registered so there is a computer for you. We are always happy to add additional classes as needed. Just call the Library at 287-3763 or drop by to sign up!
The artists are back and watercolor classes will begin on September 5. The beginning class is on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and the advanced group will keep their regular time on Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. All materials are provided by the Library so come an enjoy learning a new art form.
If you are interested in Tai Chi, the group will again be meeting on Monday mornings at 9:00 a.m. on September 11. This is a great way to exercise if you enjoy a gentler way to keep in shape. The group meets in the basement and is open to everyone.
Just for our young artists, the Library will be hosting a six week art camp for children. If you have a budding young artist who would enjoy exploring painting, clay, pastels, textile arts, art history or other medium; just sign them up. The afterschool program will be attending during their time on Thursdays so no need to sign up if your children are already enrolled with the school.
So many things to do at the Library! If you would like a complete September schedule, just stop by and pick one up! Also, please be aware of the children around the Library as school has started. We have many young visitors and they are often hard to see with all of the parked cars.
