Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
There is something special about a small town county fair.
It just so happens that local residents will have the chance to attend two in the month of August.
The Madison County Fair starts today, and the Jefferson County Fair will run from August 24 to 27 in Boulder. These both present great opportunities for some quality family fun. People often make the excuse there is nothing to do in a small town, but that is not true. The two events have a variety of things to that should be able to please even the pickiest person. A story on the front page has a link to the Madison County Far website and books are also available around town. There is a lot going on, so try and make it out.
One great thing about the upcoming fair in Twin Bridges is to see the hard work done by those involved with 4-H. The time and effort put in by these kids is astonishing and the fair acts as a culmination of this
There is also a chance to get “fair food” and if this doesn’t make someone happy I’m honestly not sure what would.
This week’s issue of the Whitehall Ledger includes the Jefferson County Fair book as an insert, and I encourage local residents who may not have attended the fair in Boulder to not only check out the book, but to plan a trip later this month.
While it certainly is not the size of the Madison County Fair, organizers work hard to put together a family friendly event and it deserves support from local residents.
