Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
It’s a mystery or should I say Mystery Book Club. This Tuesday the mystery fans will be meeting on Tuesday, July 11 at 3:30 p.m. in the basement of the Library. The group is open to anyone who enjoys a good who-done-it and wants to share what they are currently reading with everyone else. The group discusses new mystery releases, favorite authors, types of mysteries, and how characters or authors relate to their audience.
I can’t believe there are only three weeks left of summer reading. Our final party will be on July 26 at 10:30 a.m. Readers will be collecting their prizes on Wednesdays (Tuesdays for those in the school program) after the main program. There is still time to sign up and pick up a calendar of all of the July programs.
Speaking of programs, the Whitehall Garden Club will be coming and sharing with us on July 12 at 10:30 a.m. All readers will have the chance to learn about different types of plants, flowers, and then have a chance to try out their gardening skills. Everyone will be potting their own pot to take home and watch grow.
You may also have noticed how very nice the corner flower bed is looking. I have some mystery volunteers who have been thinning, weeding, and planting new things outside when the Library is closed. Thank you so much whoever you are for making that area look so nice!
You may also have noticed how full our workroom is this week. Thanks to your many wonderful donations the staff is sorting, checking, and processing multiple books, DVD’s, and other items. We appreciate donation of all new materials. The Library is not adding magazine donations to the collection due to space concerns, but we will gladly put them on the free cart for others to enjoy.
