Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
Hi Folks,
We didn’t have our regular afternoon meeting on Tuesday last week. We did meet with the Road Supervisor and as the Solid Waste Board.
We had been talking about holding several Public meetings early this summer to talk about the possibility of raising rates or changing some of the operation of the Solid Waste District. We have decided to hold off on the meeting for the time being.
We are looking at doing a detailed study of the whole process and coming up with two or three different scenarios of how the Solid Waste operation might look in the future and then hold several meetings around the County to see what folks think. We won’t have a rate increase for this year.
Next Monday I will be in Phillipsburg for our MACO District meetings. At these meetings we elect our District Chairs that sit on the MACO Board of Directors and discuss proposed Resolutions to change things at MACO or as proposed legislation for the next session in 2019.
FYI: Abraham Lincoln; “Elections belong to the people. It’s their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters.”
