Petty ride in town May 15

The Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America, one of the most successful and popular charity rides in the country, is coming to Whitehall on May 15 for its 23rd annual motorcycle trek. Former NASCAR driver and NBC Sports racing analyst Kyle Petty will lead 200 bikers on a week-long, 2,400-mile route to raise funds and awareness for Victory Junction. Several celebrity riders will also be on the cross-country trek, including NASCAR Hall of Famer and seven time champion Richard Petty, NASCAR legends Hershel McGriff, Harry Gant and Donnie Allison, former NFL great Herschel Walker, Heisman Trophy winner (1980) George Rogers, NASCAR driver David Ragan and NBC Sports NASCAR personality Rick Allen.

The riders will arrive in Whitehall at 9:15 a.m. at Town Pump. Fans are encouraged to arrive early.
