Jerry Tavegia with the Dept. of Commerce in Helena provided information concerning the Certified Communities program to local business owners attending the April 20th meeting of the Whitehall Business Assoc. Nancy Sacry had started the process some time previously and there was only a portion of the program left to be completed.
A Certified Communities program is for the benefit of new businesses, business retention and business expansion.
Whitehall is one of the last four cities to be able to complete the program, as the program will be discontinued in the future.
Brian Susott, a sophomore at WHS, has been chosen student of the week for his outstanding abilities in math. Brian is the son of Linda Fry of Whitehall.
Liniment in large doses will be the call for some hearty local residents when “Bob” Crosby brings his real live donkeys to town for the Donkey Basketball Show on Wed., May 6th. The event will be sponsored by the Whitehall “W” Club and Elementary Activities.
In the first game of the night the Whitehall Teachers and Assoc. will challenge the Whitehall Firemen. The second game will see the Whitehall Students take on the Golden Sunlight Mine.
