Looking Back 25 Years

April 1, 1992

Captain Andrew F. Weaver has been promoted to Major. He is the son of Florine Hager of Whitehall, and the late Alex Weaver of Bozeman. Weaver is stationed in Nuremberg, Germany, with his wife Dell and step-daughter Stephanie.

Cardwell students recently took part in a week-long puppet workshop held at the Cardwell School. Sherry Johns, an experienced teacher and performing artist, helped students produce their own puppets and prepare special presentations. Sock-mouth puppets, simple rod, mouth rod and shadow puppets were designed by each student.

Whitehall’s Little Guy wrestlers ended their season last weekend with the State Little Guy Wrestling Tournament in Missoula. Over 400 wrestlers took part in the event. Fourteen wrestlers from Whitehall took part in the tournament. Josh Trudgeon placed first in the novice 55; Karl Anderson second in the middle 95, and Ben Hampson third in the junior high 119.

Jennifer Hanson, a Junior at WHS, was chosen athlete of the week for her cheerleading abilities. She is the daughter of Duane and Gena Hanson of Whitehall.
