Betty Ann Spackman Simonich, age 84, of Whitehall passed away March 1, 2017 at Sheridan, MT.
She was born to Archie and Ann Desy at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lewistown, MT on February 9, 1933.
She graduated from St. Leo’s High School in Lewistown in 1951. Betty moved to Butte in 1951. She was employed by Dun and Bradstreet from 1951 to 1954. She married Vern Spackman, Jr. in 1954 in Lewistown. They moved to Whitehall in 1954. They had two children Michael and Michelle. Vern preceded her in death. She later married Norman Simonich September 2, 1978. He also preceded her in death. From March 1976 to December 1993 Betty was employed at the Montana Developmental Center at Boulder. From 1994 to 2013 she volunteered as a foster grandma at the Whitehall Schools.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Frank Spackman, daughter Michelle, nephew Jeff Spackman, and stepson Rob Simonich.
Survivors include her son Michael Spackman of Whitehall, son-in-law Al Perry of Billings and 2 grandchildren of Billings, sister and brother-in-law Evelynn and John Pacheco of Whitefish, sister-in-law Kay and Monty Duncan of Butte, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Grandparents Program at Whitehall Elementary School.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
