MARILYNN MAE TAYLOR MCKENZIE (1936-2017)

Marilynn was born the middle child of five children to Arlee W and Emma A Taylor in Glascow, MT. on June 28, 1936.

The family lived on a farm in eastern Montana until she was five when the family moved to the Seattle area where her father worked on the Roosevelt Dam as a shovel operator for the Army Corp of Engineers. When she was 13 they moved back to Whitefish as her father worked on the Hungry Horse Dam.

She met and married her first husband Donald Lamberson and she had three children. After her divorce she met and married Robert McKenzie in 1957. He later adopted her children Nancy, Perry, and Penny. They lived in old Rexford where Robert worked for the MT state highway.

Marilynn worked as a bank teller, and the Lincoln County High School Clerk, later working as a part-time bookkeeper for several are businesses before she retired. After Robert passed away she moved to Bozeman to be closer to family for health reasons. Marilynn loved her family, her flower garden, and had many nieces and nephews she loved and was close to.

She was preceded in death a son Perry, her parents Arlee and Emma, a brother Harland, her husband Robert, and a beloved niece Cindy. She is survived by her sisters Doris and Janet both of Utah and a brother Lyle also of Utah. Her daughters Nancy (McKenzie) Sacry, husband Jim and Penny (McKenzie) Dare. Six grandchildren, Chad Sacry (Kim), Brand Sacry (Josie), Kevin Sacry (McKenzie), and Mary Beth Hunter (Doug), Travis Dare and Misty Dare Oberdorf. She had 12 great grandchildren, Camden Sacry, Jordan Sacry, Kenedy Sacry, Savanna Oberdorf, Cambria Sacry, Colter Sacry, Cobe Sacry, Nora Sacry, Grant Sacry, James (JR) Hunter, Judah Sacry, and Harrison Hunter.

Family grave service is planned for a later date in Eureka. Memorials if desired can be made to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
