Hunter Flynn serves as page

A Whitehall High School senior was able to get some hands on experience in politics last week at the State Capital in Helena.

Hunter Flynn spent the week as a page for Montana State Representative Ray Shaw (R-Sheridan).

Flynn said he had an interest in serving as a page, and called Rep. Shaw who set up everything up for him.

"This was a great experience to see the Montana government in action. I was a part of history and got to meet some great people such as Governor Bullock and Secretary of State Corey Stapleton. I got my foot in the door and now have a good idea about the world of government and politics," Flynn said.

While happy with his experience, Flynn said after five straight days of nothing but politics, he knows for at least now, he will leave the politics to the politicians.

"But now the world of government is on my radar and I'm glad for the experience," he said.
