Employees at the Whitehall Town Pump store have worked hard during the holiday season to raise money for the Whitehall Food Pantry.
According to store General Manager Heather Morris, employees were able to get $7,941 in donations from customers as part of a Town Pump Charitable Foundation campaign.
Morris said she was both happy and impressed with the money raised, and that she has quite a few employees who are really good with supporting the community.
The top earner in donations was Darlene Olson, who helped raise $2,194. Morris said a lot of customers know Olson and she loves her job.
Shawn Kelly helped raise $1,840, and Jean McClure raised $1,792.
Morris said Town Pump matches the money raised and this will help a lot of families put food on the table during the holiday season.
According to a release from the foundation, they will match$3,500 of the money raised in Whitehall. The campaign raised over $23 million in it's first 14 years.
