Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Letter to the Editor: Is there a lesson from our team?

I don’t know if everyone has been following our Trojans Football Team? If you haven’t they are one game away from the State Championship.

Our Boys are not the biggest team in the league nor the fastest but they are a team that works together and gets it done! The boys team is 10 wins & 1 loss and have this record because they’re team players. No one is the Super Star, or the Glory Hound. They’re a team that works together for a common goal, to win for their school and for their town of Whitehall.

When any team or organization or “Town Council” can come together and work hard making compromises without animosity it sets an example. It creates team spirit and a feeling of pride. As a community we need to be able to feel that pride for Whitehall. It’s a feeling that creates a wonderful place to live and be neighborly.

So can we step back and learn from our children? Can we stop the bickering and work together to make Whitehall the wonderful place to live that it can be? I’d like to think we can because we should never stop learning no matter where the lesson comes from.

Thank to the coaches, staff, and teachers. May God Bless you all and the Town of Whitehall.

Go Trojans! Go Whitehall!

Jeff Reynolds
