Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana
You can hear the passion in the voice of Ed Handl when he discusses the upcoming Whitehall Rotary Club Harvest Dance.
He speaks of the event that will take place Sunday, October 30 starting at 4:30 p.m., as a truly family friendly atmosphere that will have a little bit of something for everyone.
The Whitehall Ledger would like to encourage local residents to make their way to the Community Center on Sunday afternoon to spend some time eating, dancing, listening to live music and visiting with their friends and neighbors.
While there was a good turnout for the inaugural event last year, the crowd will hopefully be much larger in 2016.
In an interview prior to the 2015 event, Handl discussed wanting to bring back the old time dances that were once a staple of small town America. This is a wonderful idea and hopefully the Harvest Dance will harken back to a time where families would all come out to spend time dancing, and more importantly having fun.
There are plenty of family friendly events, but probably not enough of them anymore. This is one more opportunity to bring the family out for residents of Whitehall and the surrounding areas.
With Halloween on a Monday, it’s also a great chance for kids and adults to get into costume while it’s still the weekend.
The Ledger is happy to promote events like the Harvest Dance, and hopefully I will see a lot of you there.
