The production in September was well above the anticipated target at the Barrick Golden Sunlight Mine.
During his monthly update at the Community Transition Advisory Committee meeting, Mine General Manager Dan Banghart said the production for the month was 4,400 ounces, above the target of 3,700.
He said it was one of the better months since the new mine plan and in the future they will be attempting to get closer to 5,000 ounces each month.
Banghart reported there were no reportable injuries during September, and they have not had a reportable injury since January 11. He added there were also no reportable spills during the month. On the employment front, Banghart said there were 44 Barrick employees, 1 regional Barrick employee, and 84 contract employees during September.
