Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Fall Gun Show starts Friday

The second weekend of September is always a popular time for local residents as they make their way to the Whitehall Fall, Gun, Knife, and Antique show.

The 13th annual event will take place September 9 to 11 at the Whitehall Community Center located at 11 North Division Street.

The event hours are September 9 from 2 to 6 p.m., September 10 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and September 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Whitehall veterans belonging to the VFW and American Legion posts operate the gun show with proceeds going to Community Center upgrades.

Local Veteran Ted Kamrud said they do two shows a year, and they usually have a really good turnout for the fall event.

The gun show is sponsored by the Weapons Collectors Society of Montana.

This annual fall gun show was started by the late Mike Hibbard and has grown into a popular annual event for gun show enthusiasts.

It also provides an economic benefit to the community.

The show will offer a variety of items of interest from guns, ammunition, art, antiques and collectibles and is designed to be a fun family event that should have something for everyone - just in time for the hunting season.

Admission is $1 per day with children under 12 free and free admission for WCSM members.
