The Whitehall High School Athletic Hall of Fame will hold their semi-annual induction ceremony on Saturday, July 24th at a venue to be determined. With the current COVID-19 restrictions, the HOF board is in search of a venue (either indoor or outdoor) that will hold up to 150 people. This year eight Whitehall wrestlers advanced to the State Tournament. The squad was lead by the four senior captains, Dallen Hoover, Dawson Powers, Jamus DuBois, and Trentin Walker. Saturday's Lady Trojan basketball game pitted the #2 seeded Trojans against the #1 seeded Sweet Grass Lady Herders in an exciting matchup that kept the crowd at the edge of their seats the entire evening. Tied at the end of nearly every quarter, the Lady Trojans brought the game to single, then double overtime with fierce defense and strong offense. This year the Montana High School Association decided to have two super divisions for wrestling instead of the usual four. The western division included 24 schools and, as this was the first qualifying tournament, the teams brought their full rosters. This totaled 224 wrestlers Whitehall was competing with. The Whitehall Wrestling team was able to take advantage of COVID this time. Due to exposure, their matches in Townsend were cancelled. After some creative thinking and many phone calls, teams were invited to Whitehall on Friday. This lead to some good wrestling against Thompson Falls and Fairfield. Whitehall Baseball sign-ups are open for the 2021 Spring Season. Registration will be conducted strictly online this year and will close on February 28th.
