The Trojans beat Shields Valley Friday, December 9th 55-42 with a great defensive effort by the entire team! Sophomores Ashton Pochelon and Joe Denny had gutsy performances to lead the team offensively. Pochelon led the team with 18 points and Denny had 10 off the bench. The girls played Shields Valley Friday and won 47-22, with nine different girls scoring for the Trojans. Senior Maxine Hoagland and Lauren Cima both had 11 a piece. On Saturday the Ladies played Manhattan Christian and lost 49-31, Junior Lindsay Briggs led the team with 11. The Lady Trojans will face some really good teams before Christmas, which will really test where the team is at. In each game, the girls are getting better at doing the small things which will help them reach their end goals....
After two days of competitive wrestling among 21 boy and 13 girl teams, the Whitehall boys placed second and the girls placed sixth. Whitehall entered 19 boys and two girls into the tournament, earning eleven medals. In the girl's competition, Alexas Rector earned a 2-1 record with 2 pins and a second-place medal. Whitehall Trojan Cross Country team competed in Billings at the State meet. For the men's team junior Wesley Biggers took 18th place with 18:29, sophomore Ethan Valov 39th with 20:14, freshman Jordan Mercer 57th with 21:29, and freshman Miles McLean took 62nd with 23:01.
