The Jefferson Valley Rural Ambulance District Board voted late last month to accept a Request for Proposal from Partners United for Live Saving Education (PULSE)/Jefferson Valley Emergency Medical Services and Rescue. Paving has begun on the Montana Department of Transportation South Roadways Project. Melissa Shannon of Strategies 360 reported the second lift (paving) started August 20 on MT HWY 55. Event organizers had many positives things to say about last month's Whitehall Frontier Days. Chamber Treasurer Jill Dove reported there were around 240 in attendance at the organizations July 28 barbecue, an increase from prior years. A man charged with attempted deliberate homicide in connection with a June 19 shooting in Whitehall will make his initial court appearance next week. According to Jefferson County Attorney Steven C. Last Wednesday was an important day for the Montana Department of Transportation Whitehall South Project. According to Melissa Shannon of Strategies 360, as of the 4th of July the Capp Lane detour south of Whitehall was no longer in effect. Shannon said traffic will be restored to MT 55 and will utilize the new bridge over Pipestone Creek.
