  • Jefferson High Student Dies in North-County Crash

    One Jefferson High School student is dead and another is hospitalized after a crash between Clancy and Montana City on Monday night. Makinzy Rynearson-Gray, a 17-year-old senior at the school, died in the crash, according to Jefferson High School Superintendent Tim Norbeck, who confirmed the death in a phone call on Tuesday morning and said that additional counselors were at the school to help students and staff process the death.     On Monday, November 29, just before 7 AM, a Whitehall school bus collided head-on with a 2002 Chrysler Town & Country minivan after the van negotiated a sharp right-hand corner while traveling West and crossed the center line. The accident occurred at mile marker 3 on Hwy 2, just outside Whitehall. The bus was traveling East and headed to the start of the bus route.     Screams Come True Haunted House and Hay Maze brought in over 1200 people to the Whitehall area over the course of its two weekend run.
