While the first reading had little to no public comment, the second reading brought in several Whitehall residents who own poultry. • Clarification on Black Tie Blue Jean from Chamber

    WHITEHALL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE|Mar 29, 2023

The Whitehall Chamber’s annual fundraiser, Black Tie Blue Jeans (BTBJ), has been the topic of many discussions recently, though a lot of misinformation has transpired. The BTBJ fundraiser is not up for grabs or leaving the Chamber’s control. The Chamber has ended its fiscal sponsorship with JVCF to put the control of the event entirely under the Chamber’s umbrella, including the creation of a Friends of the Chamber 501c3. BTBJ will live on in some form in the fall - the Chamber is revamping and revitalizing the event; the event is not disap...

  • Cardwell School Named Best Elementary in State

    ELIZABETH PULLMAN, Whitehall Ledger|Feb 1, 2023

Montana is being flooded with transplants from all over the country looking for small-town, less-stress life. For many locals, this is frustrating because our Montana ways are being forgotten for big box stores, expensive condos, and less "traditional" ways of making a living in the Big Sky state. Schooling options are limited, all dependent upon where one decides to call home. With miles between each school, and private education options limited, students go to where they live closest.... Full story
