  • TIF Board Votes to Pay For Remainder of Playground Installation

    At the August meeting of the TIF Board, the Town of Whitehall requested a total of $34,000 to complete the installation of the new playground located on Legion Avenue. Public Works Kory Klapan stated that the money would be used for the installation by a certified installer, as well as lights around the playground.     The ongoing project of the Whitehall Murals Restoration is still alive and vibrant! This year the murals at the Rocky Mountain Bank and the Billsgary Center (K-Bar) buildings will be replaced this fall. It is expected that both murals will be replaced before the good weather ends either in late September or early October.     On Sunday, August 27, 2023, at 12:37 PM the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding deceased individuals inside a residence, located on Garden Drive in Boulder.     A 20-year-old Butte woman died on Sunday night after the kayak she was in on Delmoe Lake tipped over, according to Jefferson County Sheriff Tom Grimsrud.     At the August meeting of the Whitehall Rec Complex Board, held Monday, August 28 at the Town Hall, the Board voted to recommend a final proposal of the Whitehall Saddle Club (WSC) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to the Whitehall Town Council.
