There were some anxious moments last Friday morning for students, parents, and Whitehall School Officials. According to Whitehall Superintendent of Schools John Sullivan, the school was notified before the start of school that one of their busses had caught fire. Sullivan said they were informed of the fire by parents who had seen the bus, and also through being in communication with the bus radio. Fresh off a strong second place finish at the Cascade Tournament, the Whitehall High School wrestling team will have a chance to entertain local fans this week with three jam packed days of wrestling. A ruling is expected to be made this week that will decide the fate of a recall election for five elected officials in Whitehall. Following nearly six hours of testimony in the 5th Judicial Courtroom in Boulder last Friday; Judge Katherine Bidegaray said via a teleconference feed she would make a decision later this week. Last Friday afternoon, around 50 local residents traveled to Boulder to attend a hearing in the 5th Judicial Courtroom. I'm writing this column on a Saturday morning, just hours before my alma mater will take the field in Laramie, WY to play in the Mountain West Championship game. The Whitehall High School boy’s basketball team will look to pick up their first win of the season this Friday at a tournament in Manhattan. Last Thursday, the school students made their annual shopping trip for a special child in the Whitehall area. The Cougars hosted Harrison at 4pm that afternoon.
