Southwest Montana is a really wonderful place to both work and live and I'm truly blessed to call the Treasure State home. I've lived and worked all over the western United States and Montana truly is a special place. I wish I could say that about everywhere I've worked, but I can't. When I was a little bit younger, I was more than a little bit impulsive and I would get "ants in my pants" and never want to stay at the same newspaper job for too long. The Whitehall High School cross country team wrapped up their 2019 season in a positive fashion at last week's State Meet at the Eagle Falls Golf Course in Great Falls. Head Coach Kerry Sacry was pleased with the way the team performed. "Everyone competed very well. Times were not great, but in a couple inches of snow our kids competed and took on the challenge. The Lady Trojans ended their home season with a thrilling five-set victory (25-22, 25-18, 14-25, 18-25, 17-15) over visiting Three Forks. It was truly a team effort and these young women continue to show how tough they are, even when things don't go as planned," said head coach Kyla Simon. Two days before the game, Whitehall lost freshman...

After nearly a 30-minute delay, a decision was made to cancel the game giving the Herders the win by forfeit. While Trojans head coach Dan Lacey was not happy with the way his team...
