For the second straight year there will be a fall festival in Whitehall. The Whitehall Chamber of Commerce and Whitehall Garden Club are sponsoring the 2019 event scheduled for Saturday, October 12. The Golden Sunlight Mine's tailings processing project is one step closer to reality. According to mine general manager Dan Banghart, Barrick Gold recently approved the mine advancing the project with detailed engineering and preparing for a permit application. Margaret “Eileen” Thompson of Cardwell, Montana passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the age of 88. She was born on March 9th, 1931 to Gust and Margaret Sanderson in Red Lodge, Montana.
