In late July, Whitehall siblings Dawson and BreeAnne Lanes made the cross-country trip to Orlando for the 2019 Assemblies of God Youth Ministries National Fine Arts Festival. To say they did a great job representing Whitehall would be an understatement. Dawson finished second nationally in the "Rap" category, and BreeAnne finished second in the "Book Chapter" competition. She also received an "excellent" rating in the photo category. The two were among 6,000 participants at the annual festival....
I'll be the first to admit I spend too much time on my phone and really need to put it down a lot more. It's very addictive and I can certainly see why kids who have been raised with phones spend so much time with them. It's all they know. Robert "Lowell" Nelson passed away peacefully Monday, August 26, in Bountiful Utah, following a 10-month battle with Merkel Cell Carcinoma. While Lowell lived all over the globe, he was born and raised in southwest Montana, and fiercely loved all things Big Sky: fishing, mountains, rivers, lakes, skiing, mining, ranching, and the history of the wild west. While living in west Africa during the '80's, Lowell's humanitarian aid efforts blessed thousands, attracting international attention and a Ne...
It was a tremendous start to the season for the Whitehall/Harrison High School football team. Sparked by incredible play on defense, the Trojans picked up their first win of the season last Friday with an impressive 12-7 road win over Cut Bank. Whitehall head coach Dan Lacey said it was a great feeling returning to Cut Bank for the first time since a 2016 playoff victory and grinding out a win in a tough environment. "I was very proud of the unity our team showed on the first long bus trip of...
