A much debated topic - the exclusion of the Town of Whitehall from the Jefferson Valley Rural Ambulance District (JVRAD) - will have a chance to be voted upon on the next ballot, according to Town Councilor’s decision at Monday’s June Town Council meeting. The Whitehall Community Swimming Pool opened Tuesday, June 15th just in time for what could quite possibly be the hottest week Whitehall has seen in a long time. Lifeguards completed their training over the weekend and are looking forward to a safe and sunny summer. Dear Jo, I am a procrastinator, really. I put off anything I can until the last moment. I pick up the mail, put the bills under my fruit bowl and carry on. I see my prescription bottles emptying, know I should call, and still put off filling it until the last day. There are many more examples. Yes, it stresses me out. On June 12 Jefferson Valley Sportsman's Association (JVSA) and two employees of the Butte Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) sprayed noxious weeds in the southern portion of the Bull Mountains north of Whitehall. Most of the spraying was done along the Paul Gulch Road (Dump Road) on Public Land to Mud Springs on the Beaverhead – Deerlodge National Forest.
